Redbalifrog Surya the Sun Review
04.06.2020 | VALINOR | Redbalifrog Beads

"

This Redbalifrog blog brings a dedicated review of the new Redbalifrog Surya the Sun bead, part of the Other Myths & Legends collection.

We’re now a little over a week from the first Redbalifrog promotion of the year as the buy three, get one free features as part of the Spring Bead Break at VALINOR Boutique. Early April also saw the launch of the newest collection from the Australian brand, the Other Myths & Legends release which was phenomenally well received by my readers.

I’ve slowly been working my way through the reviews of this release though do remember there’s been plenty of live images posted to my social media (Facebook and Instagram.)

Surya the Sun retails at $37, €31.50 or £28 and is wholly compatible with Ohm Beads or Pandora charm bracelets.

Redbalifrog Surya the Sun

Much like the Redbalifrog Bee Goddess, the design for Surya the Sun is loyal to the carvings found on many of India’s sun temples. The pattern is identical on both the front and the rear of the bead.

It’s not a huge bead and in the image below you get an idea of the sizes of the entire release in relation to each other.

I wanted to showcase this bead on a really sunny feeling bracelet but I’d used a lot of amber tones on the review for the Bee Goddess. Instead I opted for some yellow tones and my very well used Trollbeads Feldspar Moonstones. I have included the Ohm Beads Mama Terra as Earth Day is fast approaching and my ACA Kreations Ignis to add an extra hint of fire. The bracelet also gives an idea of the difference between the True Beadz Sunflower and True Beadz Sunlight Spot shades (and the latter is by far my favourite.) Do remember there’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any design.

Redbalifrog Surya the Sun Summary

For those of us who missed the original Redbalifrog Let the Sun Shine, Surya the Sun is a good alternative. While the design does draw it’s inspiration from spirituality, it works equally well as a season bead for the sun worshippers out there and the style is easily recognisable as Amanda’s work.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog Surya the Sun? Did you indulge in this bead already or is it on your wishlist? Hit the comments and let me know!
