This Redbalifrog blog article brings a dedicated review of the new Redbalifrog Ouroboros, part of the Other Myths and Legends collection.

The Redbalifrog Other Myths & Legends debuted in early April as a follow up to the original collection and apparently the most popular release to date.

I’ve been slowly working my way through the reviews and you’ll find the individual articles at the links below:-

Today brings my final review for this release, focusing on the new Redbalifrog Ouroboros. As with all beads from this line, it uses a universal core making it fully compatible with Ohm Beads or Pandora charm bracelets. It’s retailing at $33, €28.50 or £25.50.

Redbalifrog Ouroboros

By Redbalifrog standards the Ouroboros is quite a small bead. It’s executed as an Eastern style dragon biting it’s own tail (which is of course an essential component of the Ouroboros symbol.)

The Ouroboros with his crystal green eyes is a symbol of eternity but also represents the infinite cycle of natures endless creation & destruction

This is far from the only dragon in the Redbalifrog catalogue and below you’ll find a size comparison with Baby Dragon Frankie, the Baby Dragon and Joshua.

Whenever I think of dragons, they’re sat atop a mountain of treasure so I always associate them with gemstones and rich, deep colours. For this bracelet I’ve used jewel tones from Trollbeads stones and amber and then a few glass beads. It’s worth noting that VALINOR Boutique still have live images of their gemstone stock on their website but these are likely being removed over the next few days. For those of you who collect True Beadz, the True Potion is a perfect complement in colour to the eyes on the Ouroboros. Remember if there’s a bead index at the very end that details the names and (where applicable) ordering links for all of the beads I’ve used here.

Redbalifrog Ouroboros Summary

Baby Dragon Frankie has always been one of my favourite Redbalifrog designs and part of that actually lies in his crystal eyes. They’re subtle and don’t feel over the top sparkly. Rather they feel quite apt for a dragon. I have the same fondness for the Ouroboros with his green eyes and if you like Frankie, I suspect you’ll find similar appeal here.

This article concludes my reviews of the Other Myths and Legends collection so as always I’d love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog Ouroboros? Indeed what was your favourite pieces from the release? What did you ultimately indulge in or are there designs on your wishlist? Hit the comments and let me know!
