Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade Revisited

This Redbalifrog blog revisits the Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade collection ahead of the release of Woodlands in August.

August the 18th sees the launch of the Redbalifrog Woodlands collection! This leaves precisely one month until the new beads are unveiled. As usual there are no advanced previews but the name is very indicative of the theme. With that in mind and in light of the fact I’ve been revisiting some of the older releases during the summer season, today I wanted to share a little inspiration for the Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade collection.

Enchanted Glade launched in the autumn of 2016 and proved hugely popular with my readers. Undoubtedly these beads are going to be a fantastic complement to the upcoming Woodlands collection and with the July and August being a little quiet in terms of new releases, it’s a good time to begin tackling those wishlists.

For those new to Redbalifrog, the brand uses a universal coring system so they’re fully compatible with Ohm Beads or Pandora charm bracelets, though they do have their own bracelet system too.

Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade

Enchanted Glade consisted of just five beads; the Redbalifrog Owl Nest (my personal favourite,) Fox in a Log, Spotted Fawn, Tree Goblin and Mushroom Pod.

They create the silver beads required for either forest themed bracelets or a more magical inspired setting. Redbalifrog have always been synonymous with lifelike detailing and that’s true of Enchanted Glade. I wanted to use a palette of gemstones and amber for this bracelet. Autumn always sees me favour organic beads. Equally we’re still only in mid-July and while autumn is my favourite season, it feels too early to be using the darker red and brown shades. Instead I opted for rubies, ambers and a couple of True Beadz Purple Dream glass to expand the purple colour. For reference both of these rubies are for sale on my Facebook page. There’s a bead index at the end of the article if you’re unsure of any design.

Further notable inclusions are the Ohm Beads Gnome Home. I despise gnomes but this is such a cute forest themed bead. I’ve also utilised the Trollbeads Tree of Awareness Pendant. I’ve always loved this design despite the fact I don’t feature it frequently.

Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade Summary

I do have the new Redbalifrog Woodlands collection in hand and it’s definitely a release I’m excited for. There are a couple of pieces in particular that I think will prove hugely popular. Redbalifrog silvers tend to be quite chunky, so those of you who like the idea of a full woodlands themed bracelet would be well advised to take a look at Enchanted Glade. The Tree Goblin can be a little uncomfortable to wear in terms of sharp edges so keep this in mind if you tend to wear delicate fabrics in particular. None of the other beads have ever proven a problem to me at all.

As always I love to hear from my readers. What are your thoughts on the Redbalifrog Enchanted Glade collection? Did you indulge in any of these beads at release? Are you excited about the upcoming Woodlands series? Hit the comments and let me know!
