This Pandora charm bracelet blog alerts readers to the launch of the Pandora Summer 2017 collection.
It’s an exciting release day today. For the Ohm Beads fans the new June 2017 collections are now available. For Pandora collectors the summer 2017 charms have now launched globally. The release is sculpted around the slogan of “Do Explore” and it has such a strong tropical island vibe. The colours are zesty, the designs channel beach holiday vibes and there are some new carriers that allow for more casual summer styling.

Since I specifically mentioned the new carriers about (and I love them,) I’ll start the collection overview there. The new Pandora Open Bangles made an appearance weeks ago in the USA and were then recalled and there wasn’t much indication of what was happening with them. Though they were never specifically part of the Pandora Summer 2017 collection, they have now launched in parts of Europe as part of the release. In terms of their shape (and the inclusion of stoppers,) they look a lot like the Trollbeads Bangle. These have screw cap ends however and currently on offer are either plain or pavé versions (and I love the latter.)

As per tradition come two limited edition leather bracelets. This time they’re a duo-shade in pink or blue and they’re retailing at $50 or £45.

There’s a lot of colour in this new release though more from the use of enamel and cubic zirconia than glass. That said there are two new muranos by way of the Pandora Mint Glitter and Pandora Pink Glitter. They’re retailing at $45 or £35 and include a copper coloured glitter.

The Pandora Cosmic Stars Clips bring a lot of colour via their aquatic coloured stones however. They’re retailing at $70 or £60.

The Pandora Shining Elegance Clips are then debuting in a Mosaic version. The colours coordinate with the Cosmic Stars Clips though there’s also a lovely dusty pink shade too. They’re retailing at $45 or £35.

The Pandora Radiant Hearts is a design I’ve long admired and I still haven’t purchased one! For summer it’s launching in a glacier blue shade which sounds incredibly wintery for summer but should still work perfectly on oceanic bracelets. It’s retailing at $80 or £70.

Four new summer themed button charms are launching and these were the topic of much discussion on social media when images were first leaked. Some use enamel, others stones but they are very bright and far removed from Pandora’s original, elegant aesthetic. That said I think they could look lovely styled on the new leather, perhaps as just single focal charms for a more casual look. Tropical Sunset will retail at $70 or £60. Summer Fun is $65 or £55. Tropical Flamingo is $85 (and I can’t find this in the UK just yet) and finally Ocean Life is $75 or £65.

The new Pandora Orchid charms are offered in a choice of white or hot pink enamel with the latter have an almost Hawaiian feel. The dangle is retailing at $45 or $40 while the actual charms are $50 or $45.

The two remaining dangle charms are the Pandora Tropical Starfish and Seashell (retailing at $55 or £45) and the Pandora Tropical Starfish (retailing at $50 or £40.)

Finally the Floating Locket gets a set of Pandora Tropical Paradise Petites.

Pandora Summer 2017 Summary
Generally speaking I have always preferred Pandora’s autumn releases. The colours are usually spectacular and I often prefer the themes. There are some pieces in this summer release that I really like however and I’m sorely tempted by the new pavé bangle. I’m going to be sitting down in the next day and organising my Pandora oceanic bangle and decide whether I should use this release to expand on it a little.
