The Pandora Lion Dance charm comprises part of the brand’s Chinese New Year 2017 collection. Though it debuts in most regions on January the 12th, alongside the Pandora Valentine’s Day 2017 collection, parts of Asia saw an early release. Unlike previous years where the launch of these celebratory charms has been highly restricted, for 2017 the Lion Dance will see much greater availability.

The Lion Dance depicts the traditional lion manned puppet so often used in parades. It rather aptly features vibrant red enamel and it’s a beautifully striking charm.

I often find it difficult to connect to Chinese New Year charms because it’s not a holiday I have any personal experience of. That said I love this charm. The face on the dragon is just absolutely precious.

I’m also so thankful that we’re finally seeing increased availability of the Pandora limited editions. With the shipping restrictions they place on their retailers it’s such good news for collectors to have an easier time acquiring charms.
