This Ohm Beads blog brings a little inspiration for the limited Ohm Beads Strawberry. This time there’s a Game of Thrones inspired twist.

The Ohm Beads Strawberry launched in May as one of the limited edition designs for the season and I actually reviewed it just a couple of weeks later.

For the original review I went with a predictable summer garden bracelet. More recently I experimented with the Strawberry on a dragon themed bracelet and I liked the end result.

In previous years I’ve dabbled with Game of Thrones charm bracelets. This year I’m incredibly behind with work in general and I still haven’t started watching the new series. I’ve shared a couple of ideas on social media (follow me on Facebook, Instagram and the VALINOR Boutique Facebook and Instagram pages) but I hadn’t really intended on creating much for the blog. When I think about dragon themed bracelets, I tend to focus a lot on texture. I’ve recently been experimenting with using the Ohm Beads Earth-Ness locks to represent scales. I decided to try the Strawberry on a dragon bracelet and I actually really liked the effect.

Ohm Beads Strawberry Ordering Details

The Strawberry is a limited edition and though Ohm don’t declare the numbers of these produced, they generally aim to ensure their availability throughout a season. With Trees now marked as a collectors item, I think you need to be securing your Strawberry glass before we head into the autumn season. Ohm Beads Strawberry Summary

There is variation in these beads. I was treated to being able to browse lots of them together at the Spring Bead Break event though stupidly I never took photographs. Though many retailers are sold out right now, the bead isn’t yet marked as a collector’s item at Ohm Beads USA so they should (hopefully) be able to re-order.

I love the texturing on the Ohm Beads Strawberry. Most of the examples I’ve seen are also a true red as opposed to drifting off into the more orange hues, which is a really common problem with red glass.

This bracelet also gave me the opportunity to showcase the new True Beadz True Dragons again. These beads began shipping from VALINOR yesterday and if you’ve yet to order you can do so here (or even from live images here.)
